FACT: Although similar looking to bananas, plantains are much different and you definitely do not want to eat one ra. They are delicious when cooked - fried, baked, or even grilled. They are a popular substitute for potato chips because they are a lot healthier for your digestive system. They also are a good source of potassium, making them a super-food for blood pressure.
RECIPE FOR CHIPS
Cut your plantain into about 1/4 inch slices.
Heat coconut oil in pan.
When oil is hot place sliced plantains into the pan and cook each side until golden brown
ROASTED GARLIC AVOCADO DIP:
Take 4-5 cloves of garlic and cook in sauté pan until tender (use coconut oil here too!).
Put your avocados (3-4) and roasted garlic into a blender and blend smooth.
Add salt & pepper to taste.
