Heal Don’t Harm – End Violence in Healthcare

Violence should never be part of your job. However, according to the World Health Organization, 8% to 38% of healthcare workers experience physical violence during their careers. That is NOT okay.

After hearing a few recent stories on the news and on social media about local healthcare professionals, we discussed as a team if we could do anything to help. Only a few days later, @doc_4ord and @jamiebohacek reached out with an idea—and a phrase that said it all: “Heal Don’t Harm.” Their passion, insight, and leadership made this project possible, and we are so honored to collaborate with them on this design which is so meaningful.

At the center of the design is this important message—but surrounding it are interlocking shapes that represent the strength and relationships we all build together in healthcare. Because it’s going to take all of us—from coworkers to patients to hospital leadership—to create safer environments. Each of us must be a part of this change.
