" The Dan’s Heartstrings McMorial Fund was created to celebrate the life and legacy of Dan James McMahon, a cherished Rockford musician, producer, and community connector who bravely fought esophageal cancer and passed away at the age of 41 on September 19, 2024. The purpose of this fund is to provide support to charitable organizations as recommended by the committee in memory of Dan McMahon for music and recreation in the Rockford area, as well as for cancer research and patient support nationwide. Proceeds from the sale of these shirts will be earmarked specifically for esophageal cancer research and/or support of esophageal cancer patients. "
