Hand Muscles - 8x10 or 11x14
We us our hands to explore the world and to manipulate thousands of items each day. Our hands must be powerful, gentile, tough and sensitive. The sensory nerves of the fingers and hand are very sensitive, providing us with feeling texture, weight, pressure and temperature. The hand has nearly 30 bones and dozens of joints that allow for a wide variety of movements. Most of the muscles that control hand movements are actually located in the forearm. These are connected to your finger bones by long tendons passing through the wrist. There are also 123 ligaments, 34 intrinsic hand muscles, 48 nerves and 30 arteries in the hand...Now, that's a lot going on in a small area!
